1.1 GOODNESS (the motive of love) vs. indifference or malice = having the welfare of others in mind
1.2 KINDNESS (the act of love) = doing good to others
1.3 MERCY / COMPASSION = to be personally moved by others' needs, as a father has compassion for her children (ps 103:13)
1.4 GRACE, GENEROSITY, & FAVOR = loving others even if they don't deserve or are not worhy of it and have no right to be loved
1.5 STEADFAST LOVE = committed, constant loving kindness, ex: "for a thousand generations" (ex 34:6-7)
1.6 AGAPE = unselfish or unconditional love, i.e., without restricions and without expecting a return
"there are no limits to His love but there are limits to what he allows us to do."
1.7 FIRMNESS = [limit-setting], punishment, teaching, training, correcting
